Many of us are feeling a sense of confusion and turmoil about what’s happening in the world today. The political and world scene is full of disruption; deciphering what is actually true can be challenging. But, in a sense, this is only a more obvious and alarming expression of what we are always experiencing.

In general, we have all of these stories going on in our minds, such as our husband is doing this, our neighbor is doing that, the government is passing this or that bad law, or the large corporations are lying to us. We wonder how we can protect ourselves, and each other, from the many potential dangers and injustices in the world, which we have little or no control over.

We think we know what’s going on in the world around us, but we don’t really know what people are actually thinking or doing, or the complexities involved in any particular situation. It would be impossible to untangle the situations, interactions, and experiences around us to sort out what is actually happening and whether what’s happening is coming from a place of truth or distortions.

But we don’t have to figure out what other people are doing and how to stop one person or another person, as if they have the power to ruin the world. What is true, and what we are dependent on, is much larger than the individuals and groups of individuals doing whatever they are doing.

All we really know, and the only thing that really exists for each of us, is our own here-and-now, present-moment experience. From within our present-moment experience, if we wish to live and participate from a place of truth and empowerment, all we can do is be in right relationship with our experiences in life, as they present themselves.

We come into alignment with a larger truth when we come into alignment with love, principle, consciousness, truth, intelligence, life, and inspiration. We come into alignment with them in the context of living our lives and responding to what life brings. Being in right relationship also includes listening to your inner guidance.

What is right for one person to do is not necessarily right for another person to do. Moment-by-moment we do our best to be in right relationship with our experiences in life and allow the next steps to open up in front of us so we know the way forward.

We are each on our own path for our own evolution. All we can do is the best we can on our own path. Being in right relationship is how to participate in our own and our shared global evolution. This is a time for transformation and evolution.
